Welcome to the Colwell Thundering Herd Ranch website.The Thundering Herd Ranch, nestled in Penryn in the Foothills of Placer County California, grows Mandarin Oranges, Meyer Lemons, Navel Oranges, Limes, and Kumquats in a region known for producing some of the finest citrus fruit in the world. Hachiya and Fuyu Persimmons, Apples and Plums are also grown in our orchard. Our ranch products and fruit have been shipped to to 46 states and 8 foreign countries over the past few years and customer demand for our all natural products increase each year.

2013 is a great year to visit the Colwell Thundering Herd Ranch, located at 2500 Penryn Road, Penryn. We have expanded our Tasting Room and Ranch Store, added a Covered Patio and are open year round for Group, Family and Individual Visitors. Customers and small groups are welcome to visit, taste and enjoy our Crushed Mandarin and Lemon Olive Oils, Aged Balsamic Vinegar, Mandarin Barbecue Sauces, Marinades and Fruit Spreads as well as our Gourmet Chocolate Sauces. Auto Clubs, Women's' Groups, Nursery Schools, Bus Tours and Groups of Friends on outings have all recently made visits. The Thundering Heard Ranch also sells sweet, seedless Owari Satsuma mandarins and Meyer lemons fresh and handpicked from our trees. Ranch grown Fuyu and Hachaiya persimmons are also harvested and available for sale.
